Dr. Alisa Prewitt, SLPD, CCC-SLP, QOM, is a United States Air Force veteran and board-certified speech-language pathologist with over 23 years of clinical experience. She is licensed in California and Texas and serves as the founder and owner of APA Speech Therapy, Inc.
Dr. Prewitt specializes in treating feeding and swallowing disorders, vocal concerns, childhood apraxia of speech, orofacial myology, and neuro-cognitive conditions across the lifespan. Her diverse background includes work in private practice, early childhood intervention, hospitals, schools, home health, and rehabilitation clinics. She is PROMPT-trained and a certified orofacial myologist, with a strong commitment to evidence-based care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
In addition to clinical work, Dr. Prewitt lectures nationally and internationally, contributes to professional development workshops, and serves as a litigation expert witness.
