Anais Villaluna, MS, CCC-SLP, BCS-S, CLC, is a trilingual speech-language pathologist, board-certified specialist in swallowing and swallowing disorders, and certified lactation counselor. Anais earned her Bachelor of Science (2006) and Master of Science (2008) from Texas Woman’s University. Anais is currently pursuing her Clinical Doctorate Degree in SLP at Northwestern University. Anais practices in various pediatric hospital settings, including outpatient, acute care, NICU, PICU, and specialty clinics with the gastroenterology and otolaryngology sections at Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands. Anais has presented locally at TSHA Conventions, nationally at ASHA Conventions, and virtually on many platforms. Anais is a published author on the subject of pediatric feeding and swallowing. As co-lead of the Pediatric Committee for the IDDSI USIRG, she is interested in the implementation of thickened liquids in the pediatric population. Anais also volunteers her time with Feeding Matters by serving on the PFD Alliance to help improve access to resources for families and professionals through her contributions as the Committee Chair for the Physician Outreach Project. Upon achieving board certification in 2019, Anais has continued to pursue opportunities for teaching and learning in pediatric dysphagia. With the knowledge and skills obtained and maintained through Board Certification in Swallowing and Swallow Disorders, Anais strives to provide the highest level of care and compassion when partnering with families impacted by pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders.
