Dr. Ashley Wiley Johnson is a recognized expert in autism and early intervention, an author, and the Vice President at the Los Angeles Speech & Language Therapy Center. This family-owned practice, founded in 1979, specializes in autism. In her role, Ashley oversees and supports teams across five locations, serving individuals with autism across the lifespan. She is responsible for treating clients and managing licensed professionals to deliver high-quality services in various programs, including early intervention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Groups, summer programs, employment readiness initiatives, and both typical and therapeutic preschool programs. Collaboration is a core aspect of her work, and she serves as an advisor for the California Healthcare Foundation Healthforce Fellowship, where she mentors emerging healthcare leaders. In addition to her daily client work and frequent media appearances on FOX, MSNBC, and KTLA, Ashley authored "Autism Spectrum Disorders: From Theory to Practice." This internationally acclaimed textbook was recently translated into Mandarin for release in China. Although transportation is not her primary professional expertise, her commitment to improving transportation for her clients has led to significant collaborations with Metro Los Angeles, focusing on individuals with special needs.
