Brooke Richardson, MS, CCC-SLP, is a Medical Speech-Language Pathologist in the MSICU at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. She specializes in the assessment and treatment of swallowing and communication disorders in critically ill and medically complex adults, and played a key role in establishing the Respiratory Muscle Training program at UNC Rex.
Prior to joining UNC Rex, Brooke worked at Duke University Hospital, where she was recognized by colleagues for her clinical expertise. With over a decade of experience in acute care and outpatient settings, she brings deep knowledge and compassion to her practice. A graduate of the Medical Speech-Language Pathology program at the University of Washington, Brooke also teaches courses in Respiratory Muscle Training and other essential topics in medical SLP.
