Caitlin Saxtein, MS, CCC-SLP, BCS-S, CBIS, is a board-certified medical speech-language pathologist specializing in dysphagia and neurorehabilitation. She currently practices in the acute care setting and brings extensive experience across subacute rehabilitation, outpatient services, and home health.
Caitlin serves as Director of Speech Pathology and is an active Speaker’s Bureau committee member for the Long Island Speech-Language-Hearing Association (LISHA). She also co-chaired the Adult/Medical Dysphagia Track for the 2021 New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NYSSLHA) Convention.
Her professional affiliations include ASHA Special Interest Group 13 (Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders), the Dysphagia Research Society (DRS), and the New York City Dysphagia Study Group (NYCDSG). Caitlin is a six-time recipient of the ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE) and has presented at local, state, and national conferences. She has also been featured as a guest speaker on the *Swallow Your Pride* and *Speech Uncensored* podcasts.
In addition to her clinical work, Caitlin has volunteered with East End Hospice for nearly 15 years. She holds CAPC Designation in Communication Skills, Pain Management, Symptom Management, and Best Practices in Dementia Care and Caregiver Support through the Center to Advance Palliative Care.
