Catherine H. Stromberg, MCD, CCC-SLP, ASDCS, is a Clinical Instructor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department at the University of South Carolina. She serves as co-chair of the neurogenic specialty group and is the ASHA CE Administrator for the department. Previously, Ms. Stromberg held the role of Vice President of Clinical and Professional Affairs for the South Carolina Speech-Language-Hearing Association, where she also served as ASHA CE Administrator and Convention Co-Chair. During her tenure, she founded the Multi-Cultural Affairs Committee (MAC) to promote inclusivity and representation within the profession. With over 16 years of clinical experience, Ms. Stromberg has treated clients across acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long-term care, school, and outpatient settings. Her work at Carolinas’ Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital earned “Exemplary” status from CARF for her leadership in aspiration initiatives and performance improvement. She is the founder of the Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, and Amputee Support Groups of Florence, South Carolina, and holds a specialty certification in autism as a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist.
