Dr. Cindy Gevarter is an associate professor in UNM's Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences. She holds a PhD in early childhood special education and is a BCBA-D. Her research focuses on supports for young children with autism, including AAC, early communication interventions, interprofessional collaboration, and culturally responsive caregiver coaching. She is also interested in graduate clinical education and supporting neurodiverse students. Dr. Gevarter directs Project SCENES and Project MESA training grants. Unlimited
