Courtney Welch

Courtney Welch, MS, ATC joined the Concussion Legacy Foundation in April 2023 as a Patient Services Coordinator. Courtney previously worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer in both the collegiate and clinical settings. Her understanding of concussions, sports, and healthcare fuels her commitment to supporting individuals through CLF's HelpLine and Continuing Education initiatives. Courtney graduated from Piedmont College with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training and went on to further her education at Troy University where she received a master’s degree in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science. Throughout her academic career, she developed an interest in the complexity of concussions and focused much of her research on learning more about them. Driven by her innate desire to help others, Courtney chose to pursue a career as an athletic trainer, where she has had the privilege of guiding countless athletes through the concussion recovery process. Having personally experienced the impact of concussions during her own athletic endeavors, she empathizes deeply with those facing similar challenges. Through her work, Courtney strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals affected by concussions, embodying her unwavering passion for compassionate care and support. Unlimited
