PhD, CCC-SLP
Dr. Cristina Saldaña, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a bilingual speech-language pathologist of Colombian and Puerto Rican heritage with over 20 years of experience across diverse clinical and educational settings. Her career spans hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and public school systems in New York, Connecticut, Georgia, and Mexico.
A prolific author in the field of communication disorders, Dr. Saldaña published her first book in Mexico—a workbook designed to empower parents to deliver home-based therapy in regions with limited access to speech-language services. She later co-authored the widely acclaimed *Bilingual Communication Assessment Resource*, a trusted tool for clinicians working with bilingual populations for over a decade.
As the founder of Bilingual Resources for Therapists and Teachers, Dr. Saldaña develops assessment and therapy materials primarily in English and Spanish. Her mission is to educate and inspire professionals to select culturally and linguistically appropriate resources for their clients. She emphasizes that “language should never be a barrier. El idioma nunca debe ser una barrera.”
Her bilingual workbooks, screening tools, and therapy materials help students bridge linguistic gaps and enable adult clients to practice communication skills at home with their caregivers—bringing therapy beyond the clinic and into everyday life. Unlimited
