Debra Dwight, EdD, CCC-SLP, COM, received her doctorate in Communication Disorders from the University of Alabama, as well as two master’s degrees—one in Early Childhood Education and the other in Communication Disorders. She served as an Assistant Professor at the University of West Georgia, where she taught courses on language and literacy, language development, clinical management, and supervision. In addition, she has been the Director of the West Georgia Preschool Special Education Program and the Program Coordinator for Special Education in Atlanta Public Schools. Currently, she presents seminars and manages a private practice, Speech First Therapy Services. She has compiled her knowledge and experience into a practical, best-selling book: Here’s How to Do Therapy: Hands-On Core Skills in Speech-Language Pathology. Unlimited
