Dr. Hyunjoo Chung, PhD, CCC-SLP, earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Speech Pathology from Kent State University, as well as an M.A. in Linguistics from Michigan State University. She holds a B.A. in Education from Yonsei University in Korea.
In 2020, Dr. Chung founded Chung Speech and Swallowing Therapy in Carrollton, Texas. In addition to running her business as a sole proprietor, she works as a PRN speech-language pathologist at Medical City Dallas Hospital, Medical City Heart and Spine Hospital, and LifeCare Hospital of Plano.
In her private practice, she specializes in dysphagia, apraxia, aphasia, and dysarthria, as well as speech and voice therapy for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Prior to establishing her practice, Dr. Chung worked as an SLP for 16 years in a variety of settings, including acute rehabilitation hospitals and both adult and pediatric outpatient clinics.
Her future goal is to grow her private practice and thrive alongside her clients and their families through evidence-based practice and culturally and linguistically responsive care for the best clinical outcomes. Unlimited
