Ilene Sperling, MA, CCC-SLP, is a Certified Perception-Action Approach Instructor with more than 40 years of experience in the field. She has worked across a variety of practice settings—including in-home and office-based Early Intervention, private practice, preschool programs, and hospital-based care.
Ilene specializes in treating infants and children with movement, balance, and coordination disorders, often associated with motor speech, feeding, and respiratory/phonatory challenges. She is widely recognized for her body-centered approach to integrating feeding and motor speech interventions.
Before becoming a Certified Clinician and Instructor in the Perception-Action Approach (formerly known as TAMO), Ilene was an NDT Certified clinician and Speech Instructor. She is a founding member of the Institute for Perception-Action Approach and currently serves on its Board of Directors.
Ilene also holds certifications in Zero Balancing and Cranial Sacral Therapy and is PROMPT trained. She has presented numerous courses on the Perception-Action Approach both nationally and internationally, with a focus on helping speech-language pathologists develop effective goals and intervention strategies.
