Irena Lovčević
PhD
Dr. Irena Lovčević is a developmental researcher affiliated with the IRCN Baby Lab at the University of Tokyo. Her work focuses on how language, movement, and social interaction co-develop in infancy. Using innovative, naturalistic methods—including wearable audio and motion sensors—Dr. Lovčević studies infants’ vocal and motor behavior across daily life to understand how communication emerges through embodied, sensorimotor processes. Her research bridges developmental psychology, cognitive science, and neuroscience to reveal how infants learn through action, rhythm, and interaction with caregivers. Unlimited
