Jessi Teich
PhD, MT-BC, MTA, NMT-F™
Dr. Jessica Teich (pronounced “teach”) holds a PhD in Music and Health Sciences and is a
board-certified music therapist and Neurologic Music Therapy® Fellow. She completed her
doctoral training at the University of Toronto’s Music and Health Sciences Research
Collaboratory under Dr. Michael Thaut, where her research focused on music-based
sensorimotor interventions for children with autism spectrum disorder, with particular emphasis on sensory processing, motor control, and spontaneous music-making as a nonverbal language system. Dr. Teich brings a unique combination of advanced research training, clinical expertise, and professional music experience to her work with neurodivergent and neurologically complex populations. She is also a guest facilitator for the Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy® and a contributing author to the Oxford Handbook of Neurologic Music Therapy® (2nd ed.).
