Karyn Lewis Searcy, M.A., CCC-SLP earned her Master of Arts degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign, and her BA degree from Elmhurst College also in Illinois. She has experience in therapeutic, supervisory, and administrative positions. Currently, in the San Diego area she is a speech-language consultant at the TERI Crimson Center, on the clinical faculty at San Diego State University, and a consultant to REINS Therapeutic Horsemanship. Karyn has presented hundreds of times independently, as well as with other SLP professionals, on the topic areas of early intervention, autism, behavior management, AAC, as well as how to empower parents. In 2013, she was awarded the Outstanding Service Award from District 9 of the California Speech, Language, Hearing Association, The Distinguished Service Award from the San Diego/Imperial County Infant Development Association in 2012, and in 2010, and the Health Hero Award from the San Diego Autism Society.
