Karyn Lewis Searcy, MA, CCC-SLP, is a seasoned speech-language pathologist with extensive experience in therapeutic, supervisory, and administrative roles. She earned her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Illinois at Champaign and her BA from Elmhurst College in Illinois.
Based in the San Diego area, Karyn currently serves as a speech-language consultant at the TERI Crimson Center, is a member of the clinical faculty at San Diego State University, and consults with REINS Therapeutic Horsemanship. Her work spans early intervention, autism, behavior management, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and parent empowerment.
Karyn has delivered hundreds of presentations—both independently and in collaboration with fellow professionals—on topics central to child development and communication. Her contributions have been recognized with multiple honors, including the Outstanding Service Award from District 9 of the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (2013), the Distinguished Service Award from the San Diego/Imperial County Infant Development Association (2012), and the Health Hero Award from the San Diego Autism Society (2010).
