Dr. Katrina E. Miller, EdD, CCC-SLP, has devoted more than 25 years to empowering individuals through communication, improving the lives of countless patients and mentoring over 300 emerging speech-language pathologists. As a college professor, she founded the Neurogenic Aphasia Group—affectionately known as “NAG”—to provide group speech therapy services to city residents living with aphasia resulting from strokes or traumatic brain injuries. The program also offered graduate-level speech-language pathology students hands-on training in adult neurogenic disorders. Dr. Miller brings expertise in higher education, administration, and culturally responsive clinical supervision. She has extensive experience counseling individuals with communication disorders and mentoring early-career professionals. A highly sought-after speaker and educator both nationally and internationally, Dr. Miller developed a summer program in China for children with communication disorders. She continues to teach and train professionals from diverse backgrounds and considers it part of her life’s mission to contribute meaningfully to the fields of education and speech-language pathology. Dr. Miller is the Founding Director of Shenandoah University’s Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
