Kelly Kleinhans, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a clinical associate professor, researcher, professional speaker, volunteer, and speech-language pathologist who has a passion for serving others. She is committed to improving the quality of life for those with communication impairments as well as preparing her students for success through clinical experiences and life after graduation. Dr. Kleinhans has clinical experience in public schools and healthcare settings. Her experiences in higher education include teaching, service, research, and administrative responsibilities. In addition to numerous publications, presentations, and grants, Dr. Kleinhans developed a new Communication Sciences & Disorders concentration at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. Dr. Kleinhans was named the 2017 Kentucky Speech-Language-Hearing Association–American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation Clinical Achievement Award winner for her work with persons with Down syndrome. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the Tennessee Association of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists, and is currently serving as Past-President of the Kentucky Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
