Kimberly Green, EdD, CCC-SLP, is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at Western Kentucky University (WKU) and the former Chief Diversity Officer for the College of Health and Human Services.
Professionally, her areas of focus include cultural competence and proficiency—specifically related to diversity, equity, and inclusion—interprofessional practice, and global perspectives in CSD. In addition to teaching traditional and online classes, she regularly leads collaborative courses in countries such as Belgium, France, and the UK.
Her global experience includes teaching international and interdisciplinary courses on topics such as pediatric rehabilitation and evidence-based practice. She is the past co-director of WKU’s Impact Belize program, which focuses on addressing the needs of rural residents.
Dr. Green is a long-standing member of the Warren County Public Schools Equity Council and serves on the Board of Directors for the International Centers of Kentucky. She is also active in Warren County, helping families with refugee status or limited English proficiency access a broad range of health, educational, and community services. Unlimited
