Kristen West, EdD, CCC-SLP, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She brings extensive clinical experience across pediatric settings, including early intervention, acute care, outpatient services, and school-based therapy.
Before joining Edinboro, Kristen played a pivotal role in establishing a public school safe feeding program and served as a consultant for the same educational agency. She currently serves as the Director of Education for the Dysphagia Outreach Project and is an active member of ASHA’s Special Interest Group 13 (SIG-13). Kristen also maintains a PRN position at a pediatric hospital, continuing her hands-on work with children and families.
She has presented at local, state, and national conferences on pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders, advocating for equitable access to care across the continuum.
