With over 25 years of experience in medical, academic, and industry settings, Kristin A. King, PhD, CCC-SLP, brings a unique perspective to medical speech-language pathology. Focusing on neurological disease processes, her research and teaching have investigated traumatic brain injury, swallowing disorders, and aspects of critical care (tracheostomy and mechanical ventilation) in both pediatric and adult populations. She regularly speaks both domestically and internationally, publishes in peer-reviewed journals, and frequently contributes to clinical journals. She has also acted as an expert witness on these topics. Additionally, she oversees the development of multimedia education on subjects relevant to speech-language pathology, respiratory therapy, nursing, and other clinical professions.
