Lisa Treviso-Jones is a Senior Speech language pathologist (SLP) at the University of Colorado Hospital and has been working over 15 years in the acute care and acute rehabilitation settings. She is a primary therapist for the rehabilitation, neonatal and burn units; however also assesses and treats patients throughout the 700 bed acute care hospital. She has co-authored chapter 74: Dysphagia and Aspiration, in the ENT Secrets 4th ed, has guest lectured graduate level students at the University of Colorado, mentored participants attending Susan Langmore’s FEES course and has been given the nickname, “queen of small talk” by her co-workers, due to her ability to constantly assess language function and “chat” with her patients for hours during awake craniotomies/tumor removal. She is a certified Spanish medical interpreter and loves the opportunity to speak spanish both within the hospital and while traveling. When she is not at work, she can be found with her family river rafting, kayaking or hiking in the summer and snowboarding or snowshoeing in the winter. Unlimited
