Dr. Lissa Power-deFur, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, F-ASHA, is professor emeritus at Longwood University, where she served as program director for speech-language pathology, department chair, and interim dean of the College of Education, Health, and Human Services. Her career spans leadership roles at the Virginia Department of Education, Radford University, and a range of clinical settings.
A nationally recognized expert in ethics and professional issues, Dr. Power-deFur has taught graduate-level ethics and regularly presents on topics including special education requirements, speech sound disorders, and language development.
