Lorna Muthamia, BSc, MASc, is a dedicated speech pathologist and founder of Learning Re-Imagined (Melbourne) and Speech Therapy Totos (Kenya). She earned her degrees from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, where she began her career before relocating to Australia and later to Nairobi, Kenya.
During her decade in Kenya, Lorna developed sustainable systems and models of practice to address the severe shortage of speech therapy services. Her efforts led to the establishment of the region’s largest provider of speech therapy. She continues her work in Melbourne, where she navigates a different set of challenges—yet recognizes that families in both regions face comparable burdens in accessing care.
