Marion Russell, OTD, MOTR/L, SCFES, is an occupational therapist and assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Originally from Berlin, Germany, Marion relocated to Omaha in August 2018 after spending seven years along the Maine coastline in Portland. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, before returning to Germany in 2015 to practice across the lifespan.
Marion’s clinical expertise centers on pediatric feeding and eating behavior disorders. She is NDT certified through the European Bobath Association and holds the AOTA Specialty Certification in Feeding, Eating, and Swallowing (SCFES), awarded in 2015. Her scholarly interests include the impact of enteral feeding on family mealtime routines, occupational therapy’s role in hospice care, and health disparities affecting transgender clients and individuals with type 1 diabetes.
In addition to her academic role, Marion continues to provide telemedical services for families of children with feeding tubes through an Interdisciplinary Therapy Center in Graz, Austria.
