MS, CF-SLP
Meghan J. McCarty, MS, CF-SLP, is a speech and language therapist with a deep passion for equity and cultural responsiveness. A native of Southern California, she grew up in the San Gabriel Valley and comes from a long line of educators. Meghan began her career in education as a substitute teacher before transitioning into full-time roles as a 4th grade teacher, K–5 ELA interventionist, and 6th–8th ELA interventionist.
During her early years in the classroom, Meghan developed a growing interest in phonetics, linguistics, and literacy. This fascination led her to pursue a career in speech-language pathology, earning her Master’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University. She chose this path to elevate children's voices, support families, and advocate for equity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness.
Outside of her professional life, Meghan enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling, and going on adventures. A fun fact: she loves learning languages! She has studied Spanish and Arabic, and she aspires to become fluent in Spanish, Arabic, and American Sign Language (ASL). Unlimited
