She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA and maintains active state licenses in Illinois, California, Ohio, and Texas. Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Iowa and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Midwestern University’s Downers Grove campus. Over the past six years, Michelle has worked across a wide range of settings—including charter schools, private schools, private practices, outpatient rehab, inpatient rehab, and acute care—with pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. She began her career as a clinical fellow in charter schools, serving K–8 students, and later moved to San Jose, CA, where she worked in private practice with clients from early intervention through adulthood. Her caseload included speech, language, voice, stuttering, and cognitive-linguistic disorders, and she also supervised SLP-CFs and SLPAs. In Cincinnati, OH, Michelle worked part-time in a private practice and school specializing in orofacial myofunctional therapy, while also serving PRN in a hospital setting. After relocating to Lubbock, TX and taking time off for maternity leave, she resumed work as a PRN SLP in acute care. She now serves both adult patients in the hospital and pediatric clients in the hospital’s outpatient clinic. Michelle is passionate about providing high-quality, individualized care across the lifespan and adapting her clinical expertise to meet diverse communication needs.
