Olivia Rubbo
BFA in Musical Theatre
Olivia Rubbo is a professional singer, actor, and entrepreneur with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Emerson College and over 15 years of experience working with young children in music and movement education.
Inspired during the COVID-19 pandemic by the growing need for social-emotional support in young children, Olivia founded Mind Body Music NYC in 2020. What began with Olivia and her ukulele singing to a handful of children in Central Park has grown into a children's music company with a passionate team of teaching artists, dozens of original songs and videos, and a reach that has brought its music and messages to thousands of young children.
In collaboration with child psychologists and early childhood development experts, Olivia has written original social-emotional learning (SEL) music and developed a comprehensive Music & SEL curriculum for young children. Through private music classes and preschool enrichment programs, Mind Body Music uses music and play to help children explore concepts like emotional regulation, empathy, recognizing emotions, and belonging.
