Rob Winningham, PhD, is a neuroscientist and professor with over two decades of experience researching applied memory and cognitive aging. For the past 16 years, his work has focused on enhancing mental functioning and quality of life in older adults, including the development of innovative strategies to improve the efficacy of physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Dr. Winningham is a full Professor and Chair of the Behavioral Sciences Division at Western Oregon University (WOU), where he oversees both the Psychology and Gerontology Departments. He earned his PhD in Neuroscience from Baylor University and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on human memory.
He collaborates with Linked Senior to design cognitively stimulating video games and interactive activities, and produces monthly brain exercises for thousands of retirement communities through *Dr. Rob’s Cranium Crunches* on activityconnection.com. A frequent media contributor, Dr. Winningham has delivered over 600 invited presentations on memory and aging at national and international conferences.
