Robyn Merkel-Walsh, MA, CCC-SLP, is a licensed speech-language pathologist with over two decades of experience in New Jersey. In addition to owning her private practice, she works full-time for the Ridgefield Board of Education, where she serves in the Magnet School Program for children on the autism spectrum. Robyn is a published author and co-author of several clinical resources, including *SMILE (Systematic Intervention for Lingual Elevation)*, *Art Talk*, *Handy Handouts*, *Sensory Stix*, *A Sensory Motor Approach to Feeding*, *Oral Placement to Speech (OPTS)*, and *OPT Goals for Speech Clarity*. She is a lecturer for professional development courses through TalkTools® and has presented nationally on topics such as tongue thrust and autism, offering ASHA CEU-accredited trainings. In addition to her clinical and educational work, Robyn is actively involved in parental support groups for apraxia and autism, and she moderates the Oral Placement Discussion Board on Facebook. She also served as chief clinician in a research project for the Moebius Foundation.
