Sam Telgkamp
BS, CCLS
Sam Telgkamp, BS, CCLS, is a retired Certified Child Life Specialist who brings warmth, resilience, and advocacy to everything she does. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies with a concentration in Child Life from Ohio University. Her professional journey began at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where she supported patients and families on the hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant floor. Three years into her role, at age 25, Sam was diagnosed with ALS. While she no longer works in the hospital setting, she continues to advocate for individuals living with ALS through her blog, *Staying Loudly*, and as a member of *Her ALS Story*, a community of women with ALS. Outside of her advocacy work, Sam enjoys spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, reading and writing, and volunteering with the local high school girls’ lacrosse team.
