Shannon Evers, MS, MPP-D, RD, LDN, graduated from Winthrop University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and from Clemson University in 2017 with a Master of Science in Food, Nutrition, and Culinary Sciences. She then completed an Accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics at Iowa State University in 2018 and earned a second Master of Science in Professional Practice in Dietetics in 2020.
She currently holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence as a Registered Dietitian from the Commission on Dietetic Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as well as licensure as a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in the State of South Carolina.
Shannon began working with Upstate Nutrition Consultants in 2018 as a consulting dietitian for long-term and post-acute care facilities and Newberry Memorial Hospital. In 2020, she joined Prisma Health as a registered dietitian for oncology patients, focusing on head and neck, esophageal, lung, and bone marrow transplant patients. She provides medical nutrition therapy before, during, and after cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. Shannon also offers guidance on titrating, weaning off, and enteral nutrition recommendations for gastrostomy and jejunostomy tubes.
When not at work, Shannon relaxes at home with her family, which includes two golden retrievers and an orange tabby cat. Unlimited
