Shawna Ross
MS, CCC-SLP
Shawna Ross, MS, CCC-SLP, received her Master of Science degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, with special emphasis on child language disorders, including Autism. Her research and clinical work focused on families from both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking backgrounds. She was honored with the Outstanding Graduate Student award from the Medical School and received the Herz Gold Medal as the top student in her graduating class—her name is engraved on a pillar in the UNR honor court.
Shawna is trained in the Lindamood-Bell Phoneme Sequencing Program (LiPS) to support children with reading and spelling skills. She has also participated in courses related to Social Thinking and the Incredible Flexible You program. In 2017, she completed a year-long Leadership Development Program through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Outside of her professional work, Shawna enjoys the seasonal activities of the Reno/Lake Tahoe area, including snow skiing, snowshoeing, water skiing, boating, and stand-up paddleboarding. She also values time spent with her husband and sons. Unlimited
