Susie Appleman, M.A., CCC-SLP, COM®, earned her Master’s from Queens College in New York City. Following her CFY, she worked in private practice in Long Island, NY. In 1999, she and her husband moved to Arizona, and she worked in the Paradise Valley Unified School District until 2004. She then opened her own private practice, Big Apple Speech Therapy, LLC in Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona. In addition, she has presented at several local, regional, and national conferences on Autism Spectrum Disorder, Home and School Environmental Organization Programs, and strategies to manage behavior issues. Her passion, however, is Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs). For over two decades she has specialized in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of OMDs.
