Tamara Anderson, MS, Ed.S, CCC-SLP, is a pediatric speech-language pathologist, education specialist, author, and consultant with a passion for language and literacy. She is the owner and founder of Building Successful Lives Speech & Language Services LLC and Anderson Multicultural Books LLC. She provides direct school-based services for preschool- 5th-grade children with communication, language, and literacy disorders from monolingual, bilingual, and multicultural backgrounds. Additionally, she provides comprehensive language/literacy evaluations in her private practice as well as educational consultative services for therapists, families, and organizations to maximize children’s communication, language, and literacy success. She enjoys facilitating author visits at schools, public libraries, and community events.
Ms. Anderson has acquired extensive expertise over her 20 years as a speech/language pathologist, successfully increasing the functional skills of children with receptive/expressive language disorders, specific learning disabilities, articulation/phonological disorders, fluency disorders, autism, intellectual disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. She has specialized training in educational/literacy assessment, curriculum design, differentiated instruction, dyslexia, structured literacy, and special education for diverse learners. Ms. Anderson is a multicultural and multilingual professional. She is originally from Saint Andrew, Jamaica, and lived in Miami, Florida, for many years.
