Teresa Bierig, MS, CCC-SLP, is the Clinical Coordinator and Professor in the SLPA Program at Oklahoma City Community College. She has been a speech-language pathologist for 20+ years with experience working in a variety of hospital, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and home health settings with a focus on medical speech-language pathology. She has taught in the SLPA program for 10+ years and coordinated the student graduate SLP program at her hospital for the last 10 years. Additionally, she has volunteered at the state and national level in various positions to advocate for reimbursement of SLP and SLPA services and to facilitate increased knowledge of and use of SLPAs in the field of speech-language pathology.
