Tessa Gonzalez

Tessa Gonzalez, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified general pediatrician in South Carolina. Dr. Gonzalez received her undergraduate degree in anthropology from Harvard College and her MD from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at Palmetto Health Children's Hospital in Columbia, SC, and currently serves as the medical director of The Therapy Place, Inc., in addition to working part-time in general pediatrics. Dr. Gonzalez is a graduate of the 2020 class of Partners in Policymaking, volunteers as a family coach for Feeding Matters, and has led presentations for Real Food Blends regarding her daughter's feeding tube journey. Dr. Gonzalez is a fierce advocate for her daughter, who has a rare genetic mutation, and is passionate about helping others learn to advocate for themselves, their families, and their patients.
