Timothy P. Kowalski, MA, CCC-SLP, ASDCS, is a licensed speech-language pathologist specializing in social-pragmatic communication deficits and is an internationally recognized expert on Asperger syndrome. Based in Orlando, his practice has served clients from across the United States as well as Europe, South America, and Asia.
Tim regularly consults with schools on best practices for supporting students identified or suspected of having Asperger syndrome or high-functioning autism spectrum disorder. He provides district-wide professional development, delivers school-wide training, and is a frequent guest lecturer at colleges and universities.
He earned his master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University and his bachelor’s degree from Southern Connecticut State College. Tim is the author of eight books, including Assessing Social Communication in Asperger Syndrome, and numerous professional articles.
He currently serves as President-Elect for the Florida Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (FLASHA) and has previously held the positions of Vice President of Professional Practices in Speech-Language Pathology and Vice President of Convention. His honors include the FLASHA 2020 Outstanding Service Award, the FLASHA 2010 Clinician of the Year Award, and nomination for the 2011 ASHA Louis M. DiCarlo Award for Recent Clinical Achievement.
